My Mission Is To Help You

Build Strong Foundations

SO YOU CAN THRIVE

When my DRINKING lifestyle met my AMBITION - it was challenging.

I grew up around alcohol, and by the naughties I was drinking to have fun, socialise and relax - like many others. But for me, everything appeared great on the outside, but it wasn't on the inside. I was in a repetitive cycle of working hard and drinking - taking short breaks from alcohol until I hit burnout

I KNEW I WANTED MORE FROM MY LIFE & WORK,

AND I KNEW I WAS CAPABLE OF MORE.

But I continued my drinking lifestyle, letting it undo all of my hard work within my career, my relationships, at the gym and more. It caused me to stay stuck -taking steps forward and then back.

I didn't want the future I was heading for and realised if I wanted to change my future -

I had to change.

I'd go weeks at a time without drinking, I'd building momentum to achieve my aspirations, but then I'd slide back into my drinking lifestyle as cultural pressures continued to persuade me to drink.

I was a Sober Striver stuck in my own lifestyle LOOP - hoping things would change.

People continued to ask why I didn't want to drink if I didn't have a problem with it - both my corporate mentor and my yoga teacher believed wine as their well earned reward at the end of the week -

"BUT LISA, YOU DON'T HAVE A DRINK PROBLEM?"

Me, back in the naughties.

It would drive me crazy, and then one day I realised that what they were saying wasn't about my relationship with alcohol - it was about their relationship with alcohol. I realised that if my yoga teacher acknowledged how alcohol was holding me back, it would shine a light on how it was also holding her back too. And because my corporate mentor wasn't ambitious and she also considered drinking as a reward following a tough week at work. Like many people did, she looked at my alcohol free curiosity as an unnecessary punishment I was inflicting on myself. Deep down I knew it was an opportunity rather than a punishment.

After years of taking short breaks from drink, my close friend, Justine, had a friend who was training to be a life coach and looking for practice clients. I jumped at the chance, her company was called, The Grass is Greener, I liked that.

When I took a longer break from from my drinking lifestyle, everything changed for the better.

I took a SABBATICAL from my corporate role to explore the sneaky side of a drinking lifestyle.

I fell in love with personal development and trained as an NLP practitioner with, Dr. Richard Bandler. I quickly started to coach people, delivering workshops and talks on the negative aspects of alcohol, visiting work places, colleges, universities, rehabs and prisons.

And one day a woman said to me "Alcohol is like paint stripper, over time it will slowly take from you, and eventually you're left with less than you thought you'd have - in every area of your life."

This shook me to the core. I realised the consequences of my drinking lifestyle had got worse over the years, and knew if I spent the next 12 years like I had the previous 12 years, I wouldn't be able to do the work or have the relationships I wanted, nor would I be able to create the life and future I truly desired.

I knew that when my ambition met my drinking lifestyle, it was an opportunity to put all of the time, money and energy I put into my drinking lifestyle, into other areas of my life.

For over a decade I continued my voluntary work and trained in many different modalities and learned through deep academic study in personal development, neuroscience and the nervous system. I completed my masters level at university (coaching ambitious individuals who were stuck or held back due to the consequences of their drinking lifestyle; striving not thriving).

BEING ALCOHOL FREE GIVES ME SO MUCH MORE OF EVERYTHING ELSE IN MY LIFE.

Especially the simple things like being in the moment during story time with my son, having morning coffee with my partner, walks in nature with my whippet or a spa day with a good friend.

Being alcohol-free wasn't an inconvenience - it was a GIFT.

Spending quality time with loved ones, whether it's scuba diving, water skiing, eating in the best restaurants or running a marathon, I was in the moment enjoying every minute instead of drinking , thinking about drink or hungover from drink. I was finally liberated.

CHOOSING TO BE ALCOHOL-FREE IS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE EVER MADE.

Overcoming personal challenges would have been a slow process and so much more painful had I been in the thick of my drinking lifestyle. Alcohol controlled my emotions, my moods, my energy levels and so much more. It too often had a negative impact on my relationships, my life and my work - leaving me in a low mood or emotionally uncomfortable for too long.

Knowing how to control and change my emotional state has been a positive game-changer for me - I enjoy life so much more.

I always say to women who are thinking of taking a break from their drinking lifestyle, that I wish I could transport them into the future so they could experience how they would feel if they put some distance between themselves and alcohol.

I don't have a magic time machine, but I do know how to implement game-changing tools and techniques that have transported me, and so many other women, to another paradigm that's full of personal empowerment and possibility.

I live in the UK with my fiancé, our little boy and our whippet.

I love being with the family and spending quality time with friends. I enjoy travel, walks in nature and exploring new restaurants, tea rooms & coffee shops.

I like (but limit) scrolling time for fashion, property & interior design.

I'm obsessed with studies within neuroscience, positive psychology & human behaviour :)

Easy, Actionable & FREE !

My work is designed to help you create long term positive change and create an authentic, enjoyable life.

Working with me isn't a 'quick fix' that empowers you for a day, my work is grounded in evidence from studies, including psychology and neuroscience. While working with my clients I draw on my professional training, my postgraduate education, and years of additional deep study within various areas of personal development.

My clients often tell me that the struggles I overcame when my drinking lifestyle met my ambition, led them to feel understood as they try to navigate their own lifestyle. And that their aspirations felt more achievable as we explored their curiosity for being alcohol-free - with both intention and purpose.

If you're open-minded, and ready to step away from the chaos, take back control of your life, relationships and work, you can create the future and life you've worked so hard for, together we can identify what's been blocking you from moving forward, and start to build the strong foundations you need to thrive.

With your commitment, the right tools, and my guidance, you'll learn how to enter a new way of being - and a new paradigm, full of personal empowerment and possibility. Within this alcohol-free paradigm, you can make the positive changes you've been striving for and go on to thrive.

My clients get results because I'm honest with them, in ways their family or work colleagues aren't or can't be. I help them realise how their lifestyle and negative thinking impacts how they see themselves and how they see others, and the negative impact this can have on their life, relationships and work.

I challenge my clients' unhelpful thoughts and show them how to think differently, and how to keep momentum going when it gets tough, when they feel like going back to their old unhelpful habits. Together we turn their uncertainty into a 'can do' attitude that leads to positive action.
